The Power of Intention

This post discusses the power of intention in frequency healing and forgiveness.

This week I was reminded of the stark contrast between working with frequency with intention and not. I have a list of blog posts to write that has been growing by the day, and I’ve been frustrated that I couldn’t find the time or the concentration to write them. But in a moment of clarity, I remembered to set a clear intention, so I spoke it out loud to the Universe: “I will write clear blog posts today and I clear everything standing in the way of that happening.” Within six hours my mindset entirely changed. Instead of feeling weighed down by my to-do list I cranked out several blog posts and felt energized to write more.

This example illustrates one way of setting an intention for work. But intention can be used in health healing, job search, fitness, relationships, and pretty much everything.

What are intentions?

Intentions are more than goals, but our co-creative participation in our life path and healing. By setting an intention we add our desire to be a partner in our destiny, in combination with the seen and unseen forces at work in the Universe. Whether you are setting an intention for a successful root canal, for finding a great new job, or for a business meeting to go well, the act of putting forethought about the outcome into the process can be a powerful tool.

The universal formula for frequency healing

Intention is the driving force behind any energy healing modality, from Reiki to sound healing to prayer. Jonathan Goldman, in writing about the principle behind sound healing, says,

Intention + Sound = Healing

You can generalize this principle for any type of healing, whether it’s a medical or dental procedure, talk therapy, clinical aromatherapy, or music therapy:

Intention + Frequency = Healing

The “frequency” part of the equation is whatever healing modality is being used.

How to set an intention

How do you set an intention? Ask yourself what you want the outcome to be. How do you want to feel? And then state the objective as a positive expression in the present tense. Make is positive because you want by filtering out any unwanted frequencies. And make it in the present tense because you want it to happen NOW. If you phrase your intention in the future tense your intention is focused on a future point in time.

Here are some examples:

  • I am relaxed and calm.
  • My body is rid of toxins/cancer/dental decay.
  • I am grounded.
  • I am articulate and prepared.
  • The conversation ends positively.
  • Our relationship heals.

The power of intention

Intentions put into motion the positive outcome that you desire. Whether you believe in the Law of Attraction or not, the Universe responds on some level to your request. You might not get exactly the outcome you want, but you might be surprised by how profound intention can be.
