This post discusses how to create a set of chakra balancing crystals.
My goal in sharing information on chakra balancing with crystals is to empower you. I hope to provide you with tools for building your awareness of crystals’ effects on your body and energy field and give you the ability to assemble stones that resonate with you so that you can balance your own chakras.

What is MCAS?
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) is a chronic condition that affects all organ systems. It can cause severe, disabling symptoms every day, including potentially fatal anaphylaxis. MCAS often occurs with other chronic conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Managing MCAS is challenging because many healthcare providers are unaware of it, and diagnostic tests can be unreliable. Treatments include antihistamines and mast cell stabilizers, as well as avoiding triggers. Check out this post on managing MCAS.
Intention
Sacred Self-Healing relies on intention and frequency. Intention directs frequency to bring about healing. The universal formula for healing is:
Intention + Frequency = Healing.
In this expression, “frequency” refers to the specific healing modality being applied. Setting an intention is particularly beneficial when utilizing self-healing methods such as frequency and forgiveness. This post covers more information on the power of intention.
Beneficial Frequency
Beneficial frequency refers to natural vibrations that synchronize biological and Earth systems, to support overall harmony. For instance, visible red and blue light from the sun are beneficial frequencies because they regulate circadian rhythms. Likewise, Earth’s Schumann resonance is a naturally occurring frequency that aligns internal and external rhythms for health. This post discusses beneficial frequency in more depth.
Forgiveness
Forgiveness, like love, is seen as a high-frequency energetic state connected to compassion and gratitude. In contrast, emotions such as resentment and anger are thought to have lower frequencies, constricting rather than elevating well-being. Forgiveness helps elevate energy, promote emotional healing, and support physiological balance. Science hasn’t measured the frequency of forgiveness, but studies show that forgiveness can improve heart and brain patterns and help the body work more smoothly. Forgiveness brings balance, healing, and peace—both emotionally and physically. This post delves deeper into forgiveness.
Our bodies are like crystals
Our bodies can hold, emit, and transmit energy, just as crystals do. Scientists have found that our DNA molecules emit photons of light. Also, our bones and teeth are composed of a type of calcium phosphate crystal, similar to the crystal Apatite.
Combining intention with crystals
Crystals are energetic helpers and amplifiers. They help reinforce the intention you have created. When selecting crystals, use your intuition. Touch the stones, hold them, and notice which ones feel attractive to you. Which ones make you feel good? If you are choosing between two or three stones, hold them in your hand one at a time and notice which one feels the most “right.”
Choosing Crystals for Balancing the Chakras
Crystals work well for balancing your chakras. Generally, what feels good will be balancing to your energy. Bigger is not necessarily better regarding the size of stones you use for chakra balancing. It is often preferable to have smaller stones so that you don’t overwhelm your senses, as larger stones can be too stimulating.
There are chakra balancing crystal sets available for sale on the Internet and at metaphysical shops, or you can visit your local rock shop and put together a set of crystals to balance your chakras, one stone for each chakra. Typically, sets of stones follow the rainbow:
- Red – root chakra
- Orange – sacral chakra
- Yellow – solar plexus
- Green – heart chakra
- Blue – throat chakra
- Indigo – third eye chakra
- Violet – crown chakra
However, the set of stones that will balance your particular energies might not follow that pattern. I recommend that you learn to feel the stones’ energies yourself in a quiet, meditative space. (See the exercises below).
Some chakra-balancing sets use complementary-color stones; so, you balance your throat chakra with an orange stone, your heart chakra with a red stone, etc. You will be finding what works for balancing your chakras in the exercise below. Chakra balancing stones don’t need to conform to a set color scheme. If you determine through your meditations that a certain stone feels good on a particular chakra, go with it.
Balancing the chakras with crystals
One way to balance the chakras with crystals is to use a set of crystals, one for each chakra, simultaneously on your body. You lie down and place one stone upon the corresponding chakras, and meditate or lie still and notice the sensations in your body and energy field.
After you have done chakra meditations on several stones, the next step in building a set of chakra-balancing crystals is to pull together stones that make each chakra feel good and balanced.
I’ve discussed sets of chakra-balancing stones that follow the rainbow. But I encourage you to learn from your chakra-balancing meditations what feels good and to build a personal set of chakra-balancing stones based purely on your experience.
For instance, in the Azurite meditation, I liked the sensation of a “blue mist” I experienced when I placed Azurite at the throat chakra. So, in my theoretical set of chakra-balancing crystals, I would assign Azurite to the throat chakra position.
Throat Chakra = Azurite
Similarly, I enjoyed the sensation of connection with Spirit when I had the Aquamarine at my crown chakra. So I would assign aquamarine to the crown chakra.
Crown = Aquamarine
Though it might take a bit of experimentation to find one or two stones that seem to resonate with, or create a particularly pleasant sensation, at each of the chakras, the process will be well worth it. In the end, you will have a set of crystals that you have come into a relationship with, that you know how your body and energy field responds to, and that will produce a desirable effect.
Let’s say you had a daily yoga practice, but when you went away on a business trip, it evaporated in a different environment. You could pull out your chakra balancing crystals and tune up your lower three chakras by placing your chosen stones on the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras. This might give you the strength to begin the practice anew.
Balance your chakras
Another example of using a personal chakra-balancing crystal set is to balance all of the chakras at once, or individually if you are overly tired or out of sorts. In this instance, you might choose stones that you knew created an enlivened feeling, such as yellow citrine at your heart chakra.
Once you begin to experience the energetic properties of crystals, the possibilities are really endless! I wish you all good luck in gifting yourself with knowledge about how crystals interact with your energy field.

The bucket theory
The bucket theory simplifies understanding symptom reactions with MCAS. Imagine your body as an empty bucket you don’t want to overflow. Reactions to various stimuli fill the histamine bucket at different rates, forming the total histamine level (how full your bucket is). More histamine means more symptoms. By managing triggers, reducing exposures, and taking medications and supplements, you can control your bucket’s level.
Know your typical symptom progression
Understanding your symptom progression during a flare is key to developing your rescue plan. This post discusses how to recognize symptom progression so you can be prepared to address them.

Sign up for the SSP!
I’ve found the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) to be the most helpful bottom-up healing strategy if your nervous system has been overloaded with toxic exposures, including mold or non-native EMFs, chronic infections, concussions, stress, or trauma. The SSP is a passive listening therapy based on Polyvagal Theory that helps heal nervous system dysregulation. Many people with MCAS and other chronic conditions have nervous system dysregulation stemming from infections, toxic exposures, concussions, and trauma. The SSP is an easy-to-use app that lets you listen to specially filtered music for 30 minutes each day as part of a 5-hour cycle. Studies show the SSP has a profound effect on mental health and chronic conditions. Here’s a short podcast describing the Safe and Sound Protocol.
