Maping Your Sacred Biography
Have you ever felt like the themes from your past keep repeating? Do you want to understand the phases of your life from a spiritual perspective? Are you interested in transforming your life so that you can move forward?
In this course, you will learn techniques for examining your life events to find recurring patterns, universal themes, and archetypal significance. You will map your life’s trajectory on paper, engage in guided meditations to revisit 7-year, 11-year, and 21-year cycles, learn about mirroring and planetary significance, and you will use your innate creativity to express and find meaning in your life themes. You will then use the tools of the Sacred Self-Healing Method to bring healing to your life through the light of forgiveness.
The events of your biography carry symbolic meaning in many ancient traditions. Mapping Your Sacred Biography with Betsy is uniquely grounded in the Sacred Self-Healing Method. Having a safe space to do this work is paramount; in this course, you will understand trauma, learn how to honor grief, and actively engage in self-care and forgiveness to transform your relationship with your past.

Format
This class includes seven lessons.
Each lesson includes guided meditations covering two of the 7-year cycles of your life. Between lessons, you fill in the details on your biographical charts as memories bubble to the surface read about and practice Sacred Self-Healing concepts, and attend to your needs for self-care.
Check-ins
Though not included in this class, Betsy recommends scheduling a 60-minute check-in. Each check-in includes a guided meditation based on where you are in the curriculum, time for questions and answers about the material, reflections on your process, show-and-tell about what you have done so far (as you are comfortable), and time for an inquiry into how you are integrating the material into your life.
You may schedule your check-in time(s) anytime during the class. To book your session please complete the New Client Form and schedule here.
Materials
The materials needed for this class are:
- 5-6 large sheets of medium-weight paper (like the weight of cardstock), at least 18×36 inches in size, which can be purchased at an art or craft supply store. This will be used to make your biography charts, so it needs to be a paper that you can write in pencil on and erase if necessary, and it doesn’t have to be expensive paper.
- about ten sheets of paper for making your symbolic drawings following each meditation. This can be 8.5×11 inches or larger, whatever you prefer.
- some art supplies such as a set of colored pencils, markers, crayons, or paints, depending on your preference. These can be what you have on hand at home, or reasonably-priced art supplies of your choosing. The pieces you make will be for your eyes only, so choose art supplies you like to use. If you prefer drawing over painting then just get drawing supplies, and vice versa.
- a working internet connection on a computer, laptop, or tablet to access the materials
- pen, and paper for taking notes
- a comfortable and quiet place to do the guided meditations. You may wish to create a cozy “nest” to do the guided meditations with pillows, blankets, a yoga mat, or whatever will help you feel most comfortable.
Certificate
At the end of the class, you will receive a certificate of completion.
