This post provides the backstory of my divine love series for healing the earth.

Where it started
A while ago my Divine guides told me I would be healing the Earth. This directive was like many I had heard from them in the past, like, “You will write a book on spiritual healing,” “You will move to a healthy home,” or “Your new home will be waiting for you.” I’ve learned over time to trust the information my guides give me, even when I am repelled by the idea initially. Write a book!? Me?
It turns out, with their support, I can do what my guides suggest (though sometimes they need to repeat the message to me forcefully), once I get over my resistance. With their support I wrote and published Sacred Self Healing: Finding Peace Through Forgiveness, I moved to a healthy home this summer, and the home was “waiting for me,” because it was a model that had been sitting on the market for about six months.
My latest directive
The latest directive I received, after moving to this healthy (meaning mold-free) home, was that I would be healing the Earth. As usual, when I received the news, I felt disbelief, and wondered, “how?” Over the last few months the “how” has become clear, as well as the “why,” “when,” and “what”.
Our earth needs healing
Our earth is in peril with global warming, climate change, and irreversible species extinctions proceeding apace while world governments try to figure out how to slow greenhouse gas emissions. Despite the many things we do on a personal level like recycling, flying less, and changing our diets to include a greater percentage of plants, we can feel powerless to effect real change right now. But my guides tell me that by using spiritual healing, especially when multiple people combine their efforts, we can indeed send real healing to the earth.
The home I moved to is situated in a new development where the land was logged and violently reconfigured to be suitable for home building. Each yard has two little trees, each one unable to provide even modest shade yet. The plants the developers planted are the kind sprayed with neonicotinoids to repel bugs, rendering them poisonous to pollinator species. And our lawn was sprayed with weed killer before we moved in. As a caregiver of a child with a chronic illness, I am afraid for our health, as well as the health of our soil and water knowing that these poisons have been used. But my guides tell me that sending healing to the earth will help.
Every little bit helps
With the current toxic political climate, divisive rhetoric, and polarization fueling hate in our country you can feel overwhelmed to be able to turn the tide toward understanding, but again my guides tell me that sending healing energy out around the earth can help.
And with the global Covid-19 pandemic out of control and illness cases peaking again this fall, we can self-quarantine, wear face masks, and social distance, but we may still feel powerless to know what to do. Again, my guides are saying, “send healing to the earth.”
Following the call
So, I followed my guides’ directive, partly because I knew I didn’t have a choice, and I asked them how to go about healing the earth. The plan they laid out was to offer a series of 12 weekly remote sessions on Zoom to join with others in sending healing to the earth. I was told to structure these weekly sessions as brief — under 30 minutes — events that can stand alone or build upon each other. They are flexible so that participants can attend as many or as few as they like. Each event begins with a guided meditation to center us and allow participants to reduce stress and connect with Oneness. Then we move into sharing that sense of Oneness with the earth using love, forgiveness, light, and other tools. And part of the directive I received was to have fun with it, not sweat the details, and not worry if I screw up or can’t make it work each week. The main thing I was told was to be willing and to try.
I scheduled a series of Zoom sessions for the month of January 2021. After I did the first two of them I was hooked on the notion of combining our spiritual energy, our “light,” to send healing, blessing, love, and forgiveness to ourselves and to our dear earth. The events have given me great hope in the power of combining energies for the intent to heal. The saying goes, “where two or more are gathered,” we are joined by a multitude of unseen benevolent forces that magnify our efforts.
Intention
The Sacred Self-Healing Method relies on the power of intention. Intentions are more than goals, but your co-creative participation in your life path and healing. By setting an intention you add your desire to be a partner in your destiny, in combination with the seen and unseen forces at work in the Universe. Whether you are setting an intention for a successful root canal, for finding a great new job, or for a business meeting to go well, the act of putting forethought about the outcome into the process can be a powerful tool.
Intention is the driving force behind any energy healing modality, from Reiki to sound healing to prayer.
The universal equation for healing is:
Intention + Frequency = Healing
The “frequency” part of the equation is whatever healing modality is being used.
Intention can be used in health healing, job search, fitness, relationships, and pretty much everything.

Using the Sacred Self-Healing method
The techniques we use during these Divine Love Baths stem from the Sacred Self-Healing Method presented in my books, which draws upon my many years leading guided meditations for various spiritual communities. My intent is for each participant to leave feeling refreshed and more centered, with the satisfaction of knowing they have joined with others to create something more powerful than their individual selves. In past spiritual circles for caregivers and others doing “the hard work,” I have structured time for lengthy check-ins and sharing. This series differs because it is focused on getting the healing done as part of Oneness, not as individuals, though there is usually a brief time for informal conversation and reflection at the end. It feels right to schedule these events as short, under 30 minutes, events, knowing that so many of us are pulled in many directions, working from home, parenting, and keeping our lives in order. And of course, I am always available for counseling and healing for those who want to go deeper.
